Colombia — Scott 268, 5-centavo regular issue of 1902

One of these Colombia stamps is genuine. Can you tell the difference?

  1. Forgery: The “D” of the “DE” just above the eagle’s head is relatively tall and thin. The outer frameline at the left does not extend below the frameline at the bottom of the stamp.
  2. Genuine: The “D” of “DE” is short and squat and has the appearance of being almost square. There is a slight extension of the left outer frameline below the bottom frameline in the bottom-left corner of the stamp.
