APS to Give Free Coupon Book to AmeriStamp Expo Attendees

The American Philatelic Society, the largest, non-profit organization for stamp collectors in the world, announced that a coupon book will be given to the first 1,800 APS members attending AmeriStamp Expo February 13–15, 2015 in Riverside, California.

Thirty-four dealers have indicated they intend to provide coupons as well as six restaurants that are near the show venue, the Riverside Convention Center. In addition, local museums are participating and offering their own discounts in the coupon book for APS show attendees.

APS Executive Director Ken Martin said “This is one of the many benefits of an APS membership and a great opportunity for show attendees who join the APS while at the show. The value of the coupons significantly exceeds the membership dues. We expect a significant number of new members to register at the show where participants can obtain one of the coupon books."

APS President Stephen Reinhard said “This is one of the ways in which the Society increases the value of membership. This past year we had a record number of 50-year members recognized. It is our national shows and services to members that will keep the society going strong into 2064: 50 years from now.”

AmeriStamp Expo, the APS “Winter” Show, will have about 70 dealers, 300 frames of exhibits (with 16 pages per frame) and an expected 2,500 attendees. AmeriStamp Expo was last in Riverside in 2010.
