APS STAMPSHOW Meetings and Seminars

It’s time to start planning your get-together with fellow stamp collectors at APS StampShow 2015, to be held August 20–23 at the DeVos Place Convention Center, 303 Monroe Ave., N.W., in Grand Rapids, Michigan. StampShow (www.stamps.org/StampShow) is the largest annual philatelic event in the United States and will include more than 100 dealers and participation of approximately 50 groups.

APS StampShow is also the perfect time to share your philatelic knowledge by hosting a meeting and/or seminar (www.stamps.org/SS-meetings-and-seminars). Specialty societies and stamp clubs also are welcome to host a meeting or seminar by simply requesting a room (www.stamps.org/SS-Group-Participation). In addition, reservations can be made for a table to distribute club/society information.

Meeting and seminar rooms and audiovisual equipment are provided free of charge, as available. Reservations are due May 1, 2015 by submitting the online form or requesting a printed form from the APS.

Participating chapters and affiliates also may take advantage of reduced advertising rates in the official show program and/or the show issue of The American Philatelist (www.stamps.org/SS-Society-Advertising).

The headquarters hotel is the Amway Grand Hotel, 187 Monroe Ave., N.W., Grand Rapids, Michigan. State you are with the American Philatelic Society’s Conference and the rate will be $124/night plus 15% tax. Reservations can be made by calling 1-800-253-3590 or 616-774-2000.
