Summer Seminar on Philately

Our June 21-26, 2015 Summer Seminar will soon be upon us.

We have one space still available in the “Fundamentals of Expertizing” course led by Bill Weiss, Irv Miller, and Clark Frazier – all experts in the world of philately. This will be filled by the first application received at the APS.

A few spaces remain in the following courses: “Stamp Technology” with Wayne Youngblood; “Modern Postal History” with Doug Quine; “Mexico on a Budget” with Tad Mackie (note the new instructor for this course); and all of the exhibiting courses led by Steve Zwillinger.

Several openings are available in “Postal History Research: Brainstorm with the Pros” with Robert Dalton Harris and Diane DeBlois; “Collecting Revenues: U.S. and Beyond” with Ron Lesher; “British Commonwealth: Postal History of Great Britain 1657-1840,” with Patricia Stilwell Walker; and “Research How To’s” with Tara Murray.

Still undecided about joining us at Summer Seminar 2015? Included in our electives will be a session on “Using the Breast Cancer Semipostals” and “U.S. Religious Stamps” with Robert Cagna; the “Liberty Series: The Development of Modern Stamp Production” with David Eeles; “Hits and Myths: The Search for the Perfect Stamp Hinge” with Wayne Youngblood; “Counterfeits, Fakes, and Forgeries of U.S. Postal Stationery” with Bill Lehr; ‘Foreign Air Mail Route 22: South Atlantic Air Mail during WWII” with Ken Lawrence; and "Using Forensic Equipment to Answer Philatelic Questions" with Tom Lera.

It is not too late to make your plans.  Register now!
