APS StampShow Meetings and Seminars

It’s time to start planning your get-together with fellow stamp collectors at APS StampShow 2012, to be held August 16–19 at the Sacramento Convention Center, 1400 J Street, Sacramento, California 95814. StampShow is the largest annual event in the United States and usually attracts about 150 dealers and participation of approximately 50 groups.

APS StampShow is also the perfect time to share your philatelic knowledge by hosting a meeting and/or seminar. Specialty societies and stamp clubs also are welcome to host a meeting or seminar by simply requesting a room. In addition, reservations can be made for a table to distribute club/society information. If you don’t want an entire table, you can still get your information before the general public by helping to staff the main table that distributes information and answers questions about all APS affiliated programs.

Meeting and seminar rooms and audiovisual equipment are provided free of charge, as available. Reservations are due May 1, 2012 by submitting the online forms or requesting a printed form from the APS.

Participating chapters and affiliates also may take advantage of reduced advertising rates in the official show program and/or the show issue of The American Philatelist.

The headquarters hotel is the Hyatt Regency Sacramento, 1209 L Street, Sacramento 65814. By requesting the APS’s room block, the rate will be $139/night plus 12% tax. Reservations can be made by calling 1-800-233-1234. Hotel and more show information is available on the APS website.

More StampShow information is available on the APS website or by e-mail to Dana Guyer, APS Director of Shows and Exhibitions.

APS StampShow is co-sponsored by the United States Postal Service with the support of the American Stamp Dealers Association, and the National Stamp Dealers Association.
