New Stamp Camp USA Director Sought

Stamp Camp USA, an educational non-profit organization, was started nearly 20 years ago and is dedicated to teaching stamp collecting and educating children through the use of worldwide postage stamps. Each year SCUSA brings quality programming to nearly 1,000 children nationwide, with the potential to reach even more youngsters. It has also trained numerous adult leaders in methods of introducing stamp collecting to children and in procedures on how to conduct successful stamp camps.

We are currently seeking a replacement for our Executive Director who will be stepping down due to health problems, but will remain onboard to facilitate a seamless transition for the new director. The current duties of the Executive Director are to manage staff (consisting of two Experience Works Employees and numerous community volunteers), handle all correspondence, secure funding resources, write grants, organize and store materials, recruit camp venues (including fairs and festivals), pack and travel for camps, teach camps, recruit and train leaders, manage website content, write articles for press releases and stamp publications, and maintain positive contacts with stamp shows, service organizations, and education administrators.

For further information, please contact: Laurie Kring, Stamp Camp USA, 1117 Court Street, Suite A, Elkland, PA 16920; phone 814-258-5601.
